Description:
RandomBackground is software under the GNU Public
Licence, thus free. It is very simple. It changes your desktop
pictures at each login, getting the pictures from a chosen directory
or on the internet from www.macdekstops.com. If you're
a developer, you can download the source code here.
Requirement: Any
computer that can run Mac OS X 10.0 through Mac OS X 10.1
Installation:
Go to Download and download
RandomBackground.
Move the RandomBackground folder to your Applications
folder.
Open RandomBackground-Settings in the RandomBackground
folder. A window appears. Click on the 'set' button. Choose the
folder where your desktop pictures are. You can find some on the
website:
http://www.macdesktops.com/
Then
open the 'System Preferences' Application. Open the Apple Menu.
Select 'System Preferences'. Select the Login button (the one with a
blue button and a house), select the login items pane and add the
RandomBackground Application (not RandomBackground-Settings). Logout
from your current user and login as the same user. See if it is
working. If the picture didn't change, log in and out again. If you
have the same picture, make sure you have one or more pictures in the
chosen folder.
Notice that you can see the state of the
RandomBackground App by opening the Console App.

I need a better Icon for the App. If you think you have the one, send an email.
